A. Ultraguard does not promote a "Free Concept" security system. As with anything in life, you don't get something for free. Most "free" systems require a large monthly fee for rental and/or lease plus monitoring charges. At Ultraguard our philosophy is to use a straight forward pricing approach backed up with a lifetime of lower monitoring fees.

Q. How do I get a free estimate on a security system?
A. Always demand an on site survey. Never assess the cost of a security system with an over-the-phone quote. Reviewing protection and prices over the phone is a breach of security. Ultraguard offers a free on site survey by simply contacting us to schedule an appointment.

Q. What does U.L. Listed mean?
A. In reference to central stations, U.L. stands for Underwriter Laboratories which is an independent testing facility that tests and rates the type of buildings, equipment, and other appliances for safety. U.L. Listed central stations offer higher standards and levels of security.

Q. Can I use my system if I'm home?
A. Yes, your system can be designed by Ultraguard to function while you are at home.

A. Yes, your system can be designed by Ultraguard to function while your pets (like your cat or dog) are in your home. We install special pet immune sensors so your alarm is not triggered by your pet.

A. Yes, all Ultraguard systems allow for multiple codes so you can distribute individual codes to your employees.

Q. Should I display a warning decal on my store or home?
A. Yes, When Ultraguard installs your security system you are issued Ultraguard decals with our contact information as well as yard signs for our residential customers. This is another key security component because an authority arriving at your home or business can contact us for more assistance, if required. In most cases we keep listings of emergency contacts for our clients.

A. Check all protection devices such as doors and windows and make sure they are closed. Check your manual to "Display" what doors, windows or devices are "Not Ready".

A. Your system is displaying a recent alarm activation. Enter your code followed by the "1" key. For most systems, this should clear the touch pad display. Note: Some systems operate differently. Please check your manual for key commands on clearing the touch pad display.
